Description

Our beautiful 240 acre campus is one of the largest Continuing Care Retirement Communities in the United States. St. Leonard features independent living, assisted living, memory care, skilled nursing, rehabilitation services, and adult day care as well as a community wellness center that encompasses a fitness center, and restaurant.

Job Responsibilities:

The Clinical Dietitian is responsible for supervision of the Dietetic Technician, sanitation, safety, in-services, education of staff, and resident assessments in assigned area(s).

  • Provides supervision and advice to Dietetic Technician concerning assessment and care of residents.
  • Inspects kitchens and dining rooms in assigned area(s) and communicates results to the Executive Chef. Initiates a plan of action for any corrective action needs.
  • Maintains responsibility for education and in-servicing of staff members concerning medical nutrition therapy, safety, and sanitation.
  • Maintains responsibility for assessment and monitoring of all residents in assigned area(s) and residents of high nutritional risk, such as enteral, parental, and renal residents.
  • Evaluates departmental policies and procedures in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations and standards of practice.
  • Reviews clinical policies and procedures of assigned area(s) and collaborates with appropriate personnel as needed.
  • Satisfies all educational in-service requirements mandated by CHI Living Communities, the department, external accrediting, and regulatory agencies.

 

In addition to the essential job specific duties listed above, the Clinical Dietitian shall be required to perform all duties (essential and non-essential) in a manner consistent with the mission and values (compassion, excellence, inclusion, integrity, collaboration) of CHI Living Communities and will be evaluated on such basis. Furthermore, every employee must abide by all campus, departmental, and safety policies, rules, and regulations.

CHI Living Communities has the right to change the job specific duties and specifications required for the position of Clinical Dietitian from time to time without prior notice.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Dietetics from an accredited university. 
  • Current registration with the American Dietetic Association. Licensed by the state of employment.
  • Dietitian in a long-term care facility for three – five years preferred.
  • Regular attendance is an essential part of this job.
